The objective was to imagine a space that invites people to pause, sit, read, and reflect without feeling pretentious or overly serious. The idea of a rebus quickly emerged. I drew and cut the symbols out of paper to create a simple visual equation: a coffee cup and a comma. Placed above the cup, the comma becomes steam (because coffee is always better when it’s hot).
The rebus evokes crosswords and other puzzles, things you might naturally find alongside a book. It invites attention while remaining light and playful.
The identity unfolds in a structured and airy way, creating rhythm and breathing space, with a coffee brown paired with a blue-green white to produce a soft, warm contrast.
