Nuances Malines was born from the desire to make sustainable fashion more accessible, creative, and inspiring. The project began as the founder’s personal upcycling journey, shared on Instagram. The enthusiasm it generated encouraged her to develop a physical space that embodies this mindset, not simply a store, but a place to learn, repair, transform, and rethink clothing.
The objective was to move away from the “vintage” aesthetic often associated with second-hand shops in Paris. The founder, Magali, wanted a modern, dynamic, and colorful identity, along with a simple and highly functional typographic logo, complemented by a monogram used as a signature element.
The logotype anchors the brand, while the “NM” monogram, inspired by the movement of a sewing thread, introduces a handcrafted dimension. The vibrant color palette brings energy and helps differentiate the shop’s various spaces, giving visitors the sense of a lively, multifaceted place.
The identity extends across communication materials through “NM” branded ribbons that frame images as graphic elements.
